Trish Stratus

With her goddess Greek-Canadian profile and amble posture, Trish Stratus (Patricia Anne Stratigias in real life) easily landed a career as a fitness model, which opened for her the world of women’s professional wrestling.

In March 2000, Trish marked her WWE debut in Sunday Night Heat where she took on a management role for the tag team of Test and Prince Albert, better known as T & A. Her first bump into the ring was with the Dudley Boyz in the program Backlash.

In June of the same year, Trish made her in-ring debut in the program SmackDown! joining forces with T & A to beat the Hardy Boyz and WWE diva Lita. By this time, Trish has mastered the art of WWE storyline feuds. Her feud with Lita was one of the most followed diva storylines, featured on programs Raw and SmackDown! In July, Trish won an Indian Strap match against Lita. As her stints and exposures in WWE increases and she became more skillful in wrestling, her popularity also soared.

Among her recognitions was being voted “WWE Babe of the Year” three times and her crowning glory as “WWE Diva of the Decade.” She was also a WWE Hardcore champion.

Trish’s stint in professional wrestling lasted six years, ending in September 2006 after she won her 7th WWE Women’s Championship title, the most number for any wrestling diva in WWE history. In the same year, she married her high school sweetheart Ron. She then took on several modeling and hosting jobs, including her own Stratusphere show in 2008.

Today, Trish is actively involved in charity works for the Special Olympics, Dreams Take Flight foundation, Dignitas International and the Ronald McDonald House.
